Mexican Residency Financial Requirements

To qualify for Mexican residency, you must show sufficient income or savings at your chosen consulate. Requirements are calculated using Mexico's UMA (Unidad de Medida y Actualización) daily wage index.

Temporary Residency (2026)

• Income: approximately $4,400 USD/month (last 6 months of bank statements)
• OR Savings: approximately $75,000 USD (last 12 months)
• Per dependent (spouse/child): approximately ,400 USD/month additional

Permanent Residency (2026)

• Income: approximately $7,400 USD/month (last 6 months of bank statements)
• OR Savings: approximately $298,000 USD (last 12 months)
• Per dependent: approximately $2,100 USD/month additional
